You know lots of times we have blackouts and it can be caused by the weather, it can be caused by the power company, or something mysterious. When that happens you want to get another source of light. Now it's great if you can find flashlight is a good idea to have several of them stashed around the house. If you want some longer lasting light though, you might want to get some candles and have those handy, and be sure you have ways to light the candles. Now maybe you've got only a birthday candle and you think, well that's not going to do any good. Now, if you'll just take it and stick it down in a jar of petroleum jelly like this and then light it. It'll burn for several hours, you'll be amazed! You can also make a long lasting candle by putting some cooking oil into a container, make a little wick, and it'll burn for hours too. The next thing I want to tell you about is something that I think is really nifty. This is a device that you plug into the wall outlet. When you get it plugged in, you can see there's no light there but when you take it out the light comes on. And the reason it comes on is there is no current there it's alerting you that your current is no longer active. It also becomes a flashlight that you can carry around. The only other thing that I can suggest is that you get a transistor radio and put this on. And now you can listen and find out what's being done to take care of the black out. You can be prepared.
